Parampara@DCC takes you on a beautiful journey with Rabindranath in Santiniketan across three generations.
Gitanjali Sarkar will be reminiscing about her days in the company of Kanika Bandopadhyay, Nilima Sen, Ramkinkar Baij and many more. She will be demonstrating some of the quintessential dance steps of Rabindra-nritya. This was a fascinating time slice in the history of Santiniketan. We are fortunate to hear from someone who was actually there at that time.
Gitanjali passed on her love for Rabindranath to her daughter Sharanya who is an accomplished singer. Sharanya will discuss her life choices between singing and dancing, music and academics, music and career, music and everything else. Just like Gitanjali, Sharanya passed on the love for Rabindranath to her daughter Neera. It will be lovely to see three generations on stage as Neera dances with her grandmother Gitanjali, and Sharanya sings her beautiful melodies.
Immerse yourself in this joyous jouney from one generation to another as we celebrate Rabindranath and his Santinikatan…. The abode of peace.
